Bigs Corner

Being a Big is a great way to make a difference in your community.

What is the role of a Big?

  • Adult Companion - Unconditional friendship.
  • Positive Role Model - Through example, sets standard for behavior, dress, occupation, habits, and attitude.
  • Friend and Listener - Open communication and expression of positive and negative feelings, beliefs and thoughts.
  • Instructor - Teachable moments: take every opportunity to teach through sharing everyday activities and interests.
  • Limit setter - Set limits for behavior of Littles, noting the benefits of positive behavior and decisions.
  • Resource and Guide - Open door to new experiences, guiding the Little in decision-making and alternative courses of action.
