What’s the Job?
- Manage and coordinate one-to one mentoring relationships in both Community-Based and Site-Based Facilitated Programs.
- Conduct interviews and assessments to match mentors and mentees.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to matches and facilitate a variety of group activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of mentorship activities.
- Provide responsive coaching, and draw solid conclusions based on information provided. Build and maintain relationships with diverse groups of individuals.
What’s Needed?
- 32-40 hours per week. Typical working hours are 8AM-5PM M-F, evening and some weekend hours are required: two nights per week until 7pm and approx. 1 weekend activity every couple of months.
- Relevant youth-serving experience or a bachelor’s degree/college coursework in social work or human service-related fields. Experience in volunteer management and program coordination.
- Must have a reliable car, driver’s license, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums. Agency travel with your personal vehicle is required.
- An individual who is adaptable, organized, provides positive customer experience, multi-tasks, and has a passion for improving the lives of young people and our underrepresented youth.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
