27th Annual FUN RUN Results

2009's Fun Run on July 11, 2009 was a BIG Success, with over 160 runners/walkers. Both the 2 MI Run/Walk and 10K Run took place in Old Town Negaunee.

In the Men’s 10K Division, Rob Fox of Negaunee finished first overall with a time of 39:32. Emily Norton of Marquette was first overall in the Women’s Division 10K with a time of 46:12. In the 2-mile, David Campbell of Calumet finished first overall with a time of 11:28 for the Men’s Division and Brittany Cappoferri of Negaunee finished first overall in the Women’s Division with a time of 14:36.

 BBBS would like to thank Range Bank and Kohl's for sponsoring this event. We would also like to give a “BIG” thanks to the National Guard 107th Engineer Battalion for assisting and guiding runners.

A fun, easy way to help make a BIG difference in our communities youth! With awards in men's & women's divisions and t-shirts for participants, along with great door prizes!

MATCHES RUN FREE! Bigs & Littles will be featured & start off the run/walk. Don't forget to call & register!

Fun Run Registration information: The 28th Annual Fun Run will be held July 2010.
The Fun Run is held annually, during Pioneer Week, the day of the Negaunee Parade.    

2009 FUN RUN PARTICIPANTS:
For the third year in row, the Range Bank/Pioneer Days Fun Run for Big Brothers Big Sisters has been awarded for Participation in the 2009 Endorsed Events Program. Endorsed by the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports, participants 18 years of age and older are eligible to register for the 2010 lottery to have an opportunity to be one of only 300 participants to run over the Mackinac Bridge on Labor Day.  For information and to register for your chance to participate, visit www.michiganfitness.org or call 800/434-8642.
